Padouk Bowl

This bowl is hand-turned from padouk, an African hardwood known for its warm, deep orange-red colour. Every bowl has its own figure: lively flames, fine grain and here and there a natural character mark in the wood. No two bowls are the same.

The shape is simple and timeless, with a soft, rounded rim. The bowl is finished with natural oils, beeswax and carnauba wax, which give the wood a soft, warm sheen. Use it as a fruit bowl, for nuts and dry snacks, or simply as an eye-catcher on the table or shelf.

Good to know: padouk ages beautifully. Its bright red tone gradually deepens to a warm, dark reddish brown.

Care: clean by hand with a damp cloth or a little lukewarm water. Do not put it in the dishwasher and do not let it soak. Rub it in with a little food-safe oil from time to time to keep its warm sheen.
